Leadership & Governance Training
Graduates of the Positive Leadership Development Institute are invited to submit expressions of interest to take part in a training program on leadership and governance. The program will build on the personal and community leadership skills developed during the ‘Who am I as a leader?’ workshops. Governance provides an opportunity to influence the direction an organisation takes, but it also comes with its own procedures and constraints. This training will cover the basic concepts and fundamental skills you will need to make an effective and influential contribution in a governance role.
What the training will involve
Training will take place across two participatory workshops that will take place via Zoom on Sat 3 and Sat 10 February 2024 (1-5pm AEDT). The workshops will explore the basic concepts through discussions of a narrative which will be made available to participants in advance. There will also be a package of readings to complete before the workshops — like the board packets real board members receive before meetings.
How to express your interest
Please complete the application form online and submit it ASAP to be considered for inclusion in the training.
